Steve Ruis

For 18 years Steve learned the ways of higher education administration through a number of positions in the Enrollment division at Calvin University. Since then he has purchased a number of properties in Grand Rapids. He enjoys re-imagining and updating his rental spaces as well as managing the day to day of each as a landlord. In addition he co-owns Art of the Table and Aperitivo with his wife, Amy. He is a member of Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church where he currently chairs the operations committee after 8 years of chairing of the Neighborhood Engagement Committee. He has also served on the City of Grand Rapids Planning Commission. Steve enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, woodworking, travelling wherever he can and reading (if there's any time left). He has a cute dog named Juniper, too.
